As a Cylinder Head Supplier, share with you.
The function of the cylinder head is to seal the cylinder, form a combustion space with the piston, and withstand the action of high temperature and high pressure gas. The cylinder head bears the mechanical load caused by the gas force and the tightening of the cylinder bolts, and at the same time bears a high thermal load due to contact with high-temperature gas. In order to ensure a good seal of the cylinder, the cylinder head must neither be damaged nor deformed. For this reason, the cylinder head should have sufficient strength and rigidity.
Cylinder Head
Working condition
The function of the cylinder head is to seal the gas, form a combustion space with the piston, and withstand the action of high temperature and high pressure gas. The working conditions of the cylinder head are:
(1) The cylinder head is subjected to high temperature and high-pressure gas, and bears a large bolt pre-tightening force, resulting in high mechanical stress.
(2) The structure of the cylinder head is complex, and the temperature field is severely uneven, resulting in large thermal stress. In severe cases, it will cause cracks and overall deformation of the cylinder head.
Therefore, the design requirements for the cylinder head are:
(1) It has sufficient rigidity and strength, small working deformation, and guarantees sealing.
(2) Reasonably arrange the combustion chamber, valve and air passage to ensure the working performance of the engine.
(3) Good manufacturability, and the temperature field is as uniform as possible to reduce thermal stress and avoid thermal cracking.
Cylinder heads are generally made of high-quality gray cast iron or alloy cast iron, while gasoline engines used in cars mostly use aluminum alloy cylinder heads. Aluminum alloy has good thermal conductivity, which is beneficial to improve the compression ratio of the engine. Secondly, it has excellent casting performance and is suitable for casting parts with complex structures. However, attention must be paid to the cooling of the aluminum alloy cylinder head, and the temperature of its bottom plane must be controlled below 300°C. Otherwise, overheating of the bottom plane will produce plastic deformation and warp. Our company also has Cylinder Head on sale, welcome to contact us.
