1. Avoid emergency braking: Emergency braking not only shocks the braking system during running-in but also increases the impact load of the chassis and engine. It is best not to brake urgently within 300 km of the first driving.
2. Avoid overloading: If the new car runs at full load during the running-in period, it will cause damage to the machine. Therefore, within 1000 km of the first driving, the general load should not exceed 75%-80% of the rated load.
3. Avoid long-distance: When the new car runs long-distance during the running-in period, the time for continuous engine operation will increase, which will easily cause the wear of the machine.
4. Avoid high-speed driving: There is a speed limit during the running-in period of the new car. Generally, it should be controlled at a speed of 100 km/h. When the throttle is fully open, the speed cannot exceed 80% of the maximum speed. Also, observe the engine tachometer and the speedometer while driving to ensure that it works at medium speed. Under normal circumstances, the engine speed during the running-in period should be 2000-4000 rpm.
5. Avoid changing oil too early: The initial oil of the car is a special lubricant for the running-in period. It requires low viscosity of the oil, good heat dissipation, and excellent cleaning and oxidation resistance. Some car manufacturers have also added abrasives that are good for running-in. Therefore, it is only necessary to change the oil during the running-in period according to the time specified by the manufacturer. Do not replace it too early.
6. Avoid starting hot cars: the new car must be warmed up before starting. The so-called preheating is actually a time for the engine to be fully lubricated. Especially for turbocharged models, it must be preheated before starting, and the lubrication time must be at least More than a minute.
